Royalty Stunned by Devon Firm's Conservation Technology

Loglogic director Marcus Frankpitt presented the company's Softrak 120 cut and collect system to the King during his tour of the event. The tracked vehicle operates on the Norfolk Broads, clearing reeds for composting and potential biomass energy production.

During the meeting, Frankpitt outlined the global footprint of the Devon engineering firm, noting that its low impact equipment has received international recognition, including acknowledgments from the United Nations. He also highlighted his family's personal connection to the King through the Cullompton Farmers Market, established by his wife, Tracy.

The Softrak system exerts ground pressure equivalent to one quarter of a human footstep, enabling operations in up to 35 centimeters of water without damaging delicate wetland ecosystems. Alongside its deployment on the Norfolk Broads, Britain's largest protected wetland, the vehicle sees regular use on environmentally sensitive sites across the United Kingdom, including the Somerset Levels and the Anglesey Fens.
